Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Roofara ("Service"), operated by Utah Techist, LLC ("Company", "we", "our", or "us").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Use of Service
Roofara is a software tool intended to provide preliminary solar and roofing data insights. You agree to use the Service only for lawful business purposes.
Account Usage and Restrictions
Subscriptions to Roofara are strictly licensed to individual users. You may not share your login credentials, magic links, or account access with other individuals, team members, or agencies. We reserve the right to monitor account activity for excessive sharing and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Subscriptions are subject to monthly lookup limits (e.g., 100 lookups per month on the Pro Tier). Unused lookups do not roll over to the following month.
Prohibited Data Use
You may not use, extract, scrape, or reproduce data from the Service to create competing databases, services, or products. Any automated collection or aggregation of Roofara data is strictly prohibited.
Not Professional Engineering Advice
The 3D models, thermal heatmaps, roof measurements, and panel capacities provided by Roofara are auto-generated via third-party satellite imagery and algorithms. This data is strictly directional and estimated. Roofara is not a licensed engineering firm, roofing contractor, or solar installer. You agree that our reports are for preliminary pre-sales intelligence only. You must independently verify all physical roof conditions, shading, and measurements with an on-site inspection before finalizing any installation or contract.
Trespassing and Solicitation Disclaimer
Roofara provides digital property intelligence only. Generating a report for a specific address does not grant you the legal right, permission, or license to physically solicit, trespass, or knock on the door of that property. You are solely responsible for complying with all local, municipal, and state laws regarding door-to-door solicitation and "Do Not Knock" registries.
Data Availability and Third-Party Sources
Roofara relies on fragmented third-party APIs (including municipal building permit databases, public real estate records, and satellite imagery providers) to generate reports. We do not guarantee that data will be available for 100% of addresses entered. Rural areas, newly constructed sub-divisions, or counties with paper-based permit filing may return incomplete or blank data. If satellite data is completely unavailable for an address, your account will not be charged a lookup credit for that specific address.
Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Disclaimer
Utah Techist, LLC (Roofara) is not a Consumer Reporting Agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.) ("FCRA"). The "Financial Viability" or "Owner-Occupied" indicators provided in our reports are derived strictly from public real estate and tax records. You agree that you will not use Roofara data, in whole or in part, as a factor in determining a consumer's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, or any other purpose governed by the FCRA.
No Guarantees
The information provided by Roofara is for informational and pre-qualification purposes only. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any specific project or installation.
Subscriptions, Credits, and No Refunds
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis. Your account is allotted a specific number of lookup credits per billing cycle. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over. All subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not offer prorated refunds for canceled subscriptions or unused lookup credits. If a specific address fails to return any satellite data, a credit will be refunded to your monthly balance, but no monetary refund will be issued. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store credit card information.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Accuracy of data
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Availability or uptime
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Utah Techist, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Utah Techist, LLC, its officers, employees, and API partners from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your interactions with homeowners or clients, or any installation contracts, pricing estimates, or physical work performed based on Roofara's preliminary reports.
User-Uploaded Content and White-Labeling
If you utilize Roofara's white-label features to upload logos, branding, or custom text to your reports, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right and necessary permissions to use such intellectual property. Roofara claims no ownership over user-uploaded branding and expressly disclaims any liability for trademark or copyright infringement resulting from your use of third-party logos.
Changes to the Service
We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles.
